Move to another family
Already have an account and been invited to a new family — after marriage, for example? Here's how to move yourself and your records across.
If you already use ArogyaKosha and someone invites you to their family vault, accepting the invitation moves you — together with your own health records — into the new family. Your records are re-encrypted for the new family's PIN on your own device, so they stay private throughout.
Moving is done on the web portal. Once it's done, the Android app simply unlocks with the new family's PIN.
What moves and what stays
| Moves with you | Stays in your current family |
|---|---|
| Your own records — documents and files, medications, prescriptions, lab reports, admissions, diagnoses and conditions | Dependents, and any records you added for other people |
After the move you unlock ArogyaKosha with the new family's PIN. Your old PIN no longer applies to you.
Move your records
- Open the invitation linkOpen the link from the invitation email in your browser, signed in with the invited email address. If you're signed out, ArogyaKosha asks you to sign in and brings you back.
- Enter both PINsYour current Vault PIN (to read your records) and the new family's Vault PIN (ask the person who invited you). Neither PIN leaves your device.
- ConfirmTick I understand my records will move… and select Move my records. Keep the page open until it finishes — larger vaults with many files take a little longer.
- DoneSelect Open ArogyaKosha and unlock with the new family's PIN. Your previous family's owner is notified by email.
When a move isn't possible
- You own a family with other people in it. The family's PIN and dependents would be left without an owner. Remove the other members and dependents first. If you're the only person in your family, it's simply closed when you move.
- The new family is full for its plan. They need to upgrade or make room first.
- The new family hasn't set up its vault yet. Its owner needs to set a Vault PIN first.
- The link has expired or was already used. Ask for a new invitation.
